This role will be responsible for supervising and assigning work for employees to maximize labor utilization and employee technical competencies, monitoring productivity, ensuring quality and quantity of work output, and improving the efficiency of the department.\n\nCompensation and Benefits\nCompetitive compensation package of minimum $35.00 – maximum $45.00 per hour.\n\nVacation: minimum of two (2) weeks\n\nSick days: 5 days\n\nHolidays: 11 days\n\nOther standard benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary long-term disability.\n\nCompany-paid ASE testing, training materials, and tool reimbursement.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nSupervise mechanics, investigate issues and problems, and provide information concerning employee performance.\n\nWork closely with the General Manager/Operations Manager to monitor productivity and perform required quality audits on work performed on the assigned shift.\n\nProvide feedback to the General Manager/Operations Manager on employee performance and technical training needs.\n\nAssist with monitoring and meeting standards/goals of analytical targets to name a few: Priority level 1 availability, productivity, financial performance and PM compliance.\n\nPlan and assign work for employees to maximize labor utilization and employee technical competencies.\n\nConsult with mechanics on diagnosis and procedures for repair and assist with technical questions.\n\nEnsure proper utilization of client software by all assigned personnel.\n\nEnsure completion of client software supervisory activity by the end of the assigned shift.\n\nKeep facility/grounds clean and ensure that all personnel work in a safe manner.\n\nEnsure compliance with all shifts and shop reporting requirements.\n\nSupervise shop operations to support service requirements.\n\nWork with the General Manager/Operations Manager to determine the root cause for poor labor utilization, rework and service interruptions.\n\nEnsure that work orders for repairs to vehicles are performed, review past work orders, and assist in the review and closure of current work orders.\n\nOversee inspections, complete vehicle safety assessments and inspections to ensure vehicles are safe to operate and meet all requirements.\n\nWork with parts personnel to obtain the correct replacement parts.\n\nAssist the General Manager/Operations Manager/Service department with the listing and scheduling of vehicles for preventative maintenance.\n\nMonitor the status of down/out-of-service vehicles or equipment and issue a daily report.\n\nMaintain moderate contact with external vendors regarding the repair/maintenance of the vehicles.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the location.\n\nQualifications\n\nHigh School Diploma.
