This position provides flexible, hands-on assistance across gift processing, donor services, and vendor operations — stepping in during periods of high volume, seasonal peaks, or staff absences to keep critical donor-facing and back-office functions running smoothly.\nThis is an ideal role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys variety in their day-to-day work, and takes pride in accuracy and donor care.\n** Position is expected to be in Project HOPE's Washington, DC office min. 2-3 days/week (or more depending on key projects).\nPRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:\nDonor Services\nRespond to donor inquiries via phone, email, and CRM alongside the Donor Services Associate\nProcess refunds, adjustments, and donor acknowledgment tasks\nHelp ensure a positive, timely donor experience across all communication channels\nPrepare routine correspondence and responses to constituents\nAssist with suppression of prospects and donors from communications as requested\nProcess sustainer cancellations\nGift Processing\nAssist with gift entry, batching, and reconciliation during peak periods or staff absences\nSupport accurate and timely recording of donations in the CRM/fundraising database\nHelp troubleshoot and resolve gift-processing discrepancies\nVendor & Operations Support\nProvide backup support for vendor-related operations as needed\nAssist with administrative tasks that support the broader Development Operations team\nFlex across functions to cover gaps during high-volume periods or staff absences\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:\nBA/S in Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit or Project Management, or relevant field/experience.\nExperience in donor relations, customer service, or nonprofit operations\nFamiliarity with CRM or fundraising database platforms\nStrong attention to detail, especially in data entry and financial processing\nComfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment\nCollaborative, team-oriented approach with a willingness to flex across functions\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to maintain confidentiality when handling donor and financial information\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nExperience partnering with and communicating with multiple vendors and/or teams.\nExperience with fundraising CRMs such as Fundraise Up and Raisers Edge NXT\nExperience with project management tools like Asana and Microsoft SharePoint.\nExperience with MS Excel and Word\nExperience with Zendesk\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:\nThe physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
