Your next chapter begins at Darwill.Location : Hillside, IL\r\nReports to:Lead MechanicResponsibilities/Essential Functions:\r\nThe Mechanic is responsible for technical and service-related maintenance and service on a range of industrial printing equipment. This job may include any aspect of equipment support, including hardware, software, PC's, and wireless networking. The Mechanic will provide technical support to all printing equipment and determine the most cost-effective repair/resolution to minimize downtime.\r\nProvide service and maintenance on all printing equipment in the facility\r\nPrioritize issues to resolve urgent incidents in a timely manner\r\nBe available to provide support to the facility outside of regular working hours if necessary\r\nTroubleshoot complex issues with equipment\r\nWork collaboratively with plant and management teams to find solutions to problems\r\nEncourage use of new techniques and focus on fact-based problem solving.\r\nRequirements:Qualifications:\r\n· High School Diploma/GED, Associates degree preferred\r\n· Mechanical or technical training a plus\r\n· 2+ years’ experience as a mechanic and/or servicing industrial printing equipment\r\n· General knowledge of print production\r\n· Ability to use hand tools and power tools to repair and maintain equipment\r\n· Ability to climb ladders if necessary, to repair and maintain equipment\r\n· Strong attention to detail, problem solving abilities and strategic thinking\r\nWork Environment/Physical Demands:\r\nAbility to stand for 8 to 12 hours & walk 3 hours\r\nLift up to 50lbs\r\nIntermittent bending up to 3 hours.
