{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"aeef8a09ba0745fa92f22cc9","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/aeef8a09ba0745fa92f22cc9","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/aeef8a09ba0745fa92f22cc9","title":"CNC Setup Operator 2nd Shift","description":"CNC Setup - Hamilton Hours: 2nd shift hours: 4pm - 2am (MON-THUR / overtime possible on Fridays May need to train on 1st shift Hours MON-THUR 6am-4pm\nDuties and Responsibilities: Set up and operate any and all CNC lathes and mills in a safe and efficient manner.\nCall up programs and set-up tooling for CNC lathes.\nEdit CNC lathe programs, as necessary.\nMeasure parts and make tool corrections as CNC lathe is running production\nInstruct less skilled employees in the operation or set up of any CNC lathes and mills.\nPerform inspections of parts using precision measuring instruments.\nPerform daily upkeep and routine maintenance, keeping equipment and production area in good working order.\nEnsure that correct cutting insert is used for type of material.\nFollow instructions; written and/or verbal; from the production supervisors.\nProduce 100% high-quality, high-volume parts, with emphasis on reducing cycle time.\nEnsure that all parts are cleaned, counted, de-burred, assembled and handled properly.\nComply with and support all aspects of the company's quality management program.\nInventory and document tooling and inserts.\nSkills and Experience: Technical College or Equivalent Experience\n1+ years of experience operating, setting up, and programming CNC mills and manual milling equipment\nAbility to read and interpret CAD drawings and product specifications.\nAbility to use gages and measuring instruments such as micrometer calipers, etc.\nAbility to communicate with all levels of personnel within operation.\nAbility to read, sort, check, count, and verify numbers.\nAbility to lift and manipulate heavy objects.\nAbility to perform simple arithmetic.\nAbility to understand written and verbal instructions.\nReading, math, and communication skills equivalent to a high school education and one or more years of related experience, or equivalent.\nPreferred Skills:\nLanguage Skills - Good communication skills are key.\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.\nMathematical Skills- Ability to work with mathematical concepts.\nReasoning Ability - Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.\nAbility to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.\nComputer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have\nOther Skills and Abilities - Must be detail oriented.
