If you have a strong background in engineering and a passion for supporting industrial projects, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.\nSummary\nA Project Engineer/Coordinator role involves supporting the engineering and construction team through various administrative and coordination tasks, with a focus on representing the client's interests throughout the project lifecycle.\nResponsibilities and Functions\nLead projects to ensure safety, cost control, quality, and effective team dynamics.\nDevelop project scope and design specifications.\nPrepare budget estimates and cost justifications.\nMonitor and report on project progress, conducting status review meetings.\nProcure necessary parts and equipment.\nProvide ongoing technical support to coordinate multi-departmental tasks.\nCoordinate plant turnarounds and participate in commissioning and start-up activities.\nOversee project close-out and documentation turnover.\nManage contractor selection and construction activities.\nSchedule and coordinate non-routine maintenance and emergency shutdowns.\nEngage in miscellaneous project and maintenance engineering tasks.\nConduct cost analysis and risk assessments, reporting to management.\nDevelop and track project KPIs and master schedules.\nLiaise between the company, customers, and vendors.\nEnsure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.\nBuild strong relationships with stakeholders.\nDevelop design standards, tools, procedures, and training materials.\nAdhere to safety policies and procedures.\nPerform other related duties as assigned.\nSkills & Qualifications\nProficiency in Microsoft Office products.\nExperience with AutoCAD-based drafting programs is recommended.\nStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.\nValid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements, including obtaining a TWIC card if necessary.\nAbility to pass background checks and drug tests, including random testing.\nKnowledge in estimating, budgeting, job cost tracking, and project closeout.\nDetail-oriented with excellent accuracy.\nStrong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.\nAbility to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.\nFamiliarity with project management methodologies and best practices.\nAbility to work on-site with occasional remote work opportunities.\nEligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.\nEducation and Experience\nBS degree in Chemical or Industrial Engineering from an ABET-accredited university is preferred; Equivalent industry experience may be acceptable if deemed appropriate by the client.\nPE License Certification preferred but not required.\nMinimum of 5+ years of project engineering or general plant/industrial experience is required.\nWork Environment & Physical Demands\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.\nWork assignment inside an operating plant which requires normal hearing, the ability to stand, walk, reach, climb and balance, clear close and distance vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.\nProlonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.\nAbility to operate standard office equipment and keyboard.\nMust be able to bend, stoop and climb on a ladder or up and down stairs.\nMust be able to drive a company vehicle to and from job sites or office locations.\nMust be able to attend job walks wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) in an operating facility in a hot climate.\nLifting up to 25 pounds may be required.\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
