As a Field Trip Guide, you will lead school groups around the farm, teaching students about farm life and agriculture. Topics include: The purposes and breeds of different farm animals How plants grow from seeds Apple cider making Bottle-feeding baby animals Goat Milking …and much more! We provide comprehensive training on these subjects and how to educate students following New Jersey curriculum guidelines. Who Should Apply: This role is ideal for retired teachers, childcare professionals, stay-at-home parents, bus drivers, or anyone looking for flexible, meaningful work. An educational or childcare background is preferred. Necessary Skills: Sense of humor, positive attitude, and enthusiasm Organized, professional, and punctual Team player and able to work independently Ability to follow directions Experience working with children Ability to engage, stimulate, and manage energetic students Comfortable with public speaking Responsibilities Include: Prepping and cleaning up before and after field trips Handling small animals (chickens, bunnies, baby goats) Being on your feet for the duration of field trips Teaching children about agriculture topics (planting seeds, bottle feeding goats, etc.) Working outdoors in various weather conditions Communicating effectively and collaborating with team members Benefits: Be part of a supportive, passionate team Enjoy working with animals, educational tours, and the community Flexible hours and a fun, interactive environment April-November.
