We provide a safe and secure working environment for our staff while helping an at-risk population receive the treatment necessary for success on their road back to a healthy, productive life.\n\nProvide instruction to the offenders for the DWI programs.\n\nInterviews, screens, and evaluates offenders for potential program participation.\n\nMaintains offender records and other records regarding services provided to include workload statistics; and compiles data and submits reports and related documentation as appropriate.\n\nPossess good communication skills and have demonstrated instructional ability.\n\nUse a variety of teaching strategies.\n\nAdminister and evaluate pre and post-test instruments.\n\nPromote the development of positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed; provide regular feedback to staff regarding social skills, procedures, and intervention techniques.\n\nMaintain accountability of staff, offenders and property; adhere to safety practices.\n\nQualifications:\n\nAssociate's degree in the field of psychology, sociology, counseling, social work, criminal justice, education, nursing, or health;\n\n-- AND/OR --\n\nPossess an active registration as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) or Intern (LCDC-I), licensed social worker, or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Intern (LPC-A);\n\n-- OR --\n\nPossess, at a minimum, two years of documented experience providing direct client services directly related to the applicable internship, licensing, or education documented to persons with substance abuse problems or mental disorders.\n\nSuccessful completion of the Texas DWI Education In-Service Training Program approved by DSHS is also required.\n\nMust hold a current CPR certification and maintain a valid license for continued employment.\n\nValid driver’s license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record, unless waived by management.\n\nMust successfully complete annual background check and in-service training requirements, both of which must be approved by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ).\n\nManagement & Training Corporation (MTC) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
