As a Software Development Engineering – Advisor I, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality mainframe applications. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that align with our business goals and client needs, ensuring stability and scalability in a high-volume transaction environment.\r\nWhat you'll do\r\nLead the design, development, and implementation of applications to support Fiserv's business goals.\r\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.\r\nPerform coding, testing, and debugging of programs to ensure optimal performance and reliability.\r\nMaintain and improve existing codebase, optimize processes, and lead peer review processes.\r\nMentor junior developers and provide technical guidance on best practices to enhance team capabilities.\r\nExperience you'll need to have\r\n6+ years of experience in application development.\r\n6+ years of experience with online transaction processing systems.\r\n1+ year of experience with Fiserv applications and systems.\r\nBachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field (or foreign equivalent degree) or equivalent work experience.\r\nExperience that would be great to have\r\nExperience in the financial services industry.\r\nKnowledge of mainframe modernization strategies (e.g., API integration, migration to distributed systems).\r\nExposure to CI/CD concepts in a mainframe environment.\r\nSalary Range\r\n$110,000.00 - $186,000.00\r\nThese pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York.
