Role: Software and Algorithms Engineer Location: San Jose, CA (Hybrid – 3-days Onsite) Duration: 6+ Months Contract Client: Samsung Semiconductor Technical professionals are defined by what they create. You’ll also collaborate with Samsung Display Korea and other Samsung R&D centers in Silicon Valley and around the world. What You’ll Do This position is responsible for taking over an extensive simulation platform that simulates the behavior of a display over its lifetime. The model is developed in C/C++ and MATLAB and is used to evaluate the performance of various image enhancement and compression algorithms. Understand the algorithms used in a display to compensate for different impairments and enhance the image quality. Understand different compression algorithms that are used in display industry. Maintain the simulation platform and develop new features as required. Perform simulations and optimize the code to minimize the execution time. Collaborate with the compression and RTL teams to improve the quality of the algorithms and verify through simulation. Ability to analyze, and interpret the simulation results and report to the team. What You Bring 10 years of hands-on experience in image processing algorithm development 10 years of hands-on experience using C++ and MATLAB Experience with the compression algorithms is highly desirable BS in EE or related fields (MS is preferred.)
