This partnership has enabled us to continue the BILSTEIN tradition of excellence.\n\nYour Responsibilities\n\nSummary:\nHourly Rate: $15/hr\nThe Assembler is responsible for assembling component parts to company specifications and customer expectations consistent with Bilstein’s quality and productivity standards.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nMaintains a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies in the workplace. Advocates for and promotes a safe work environment by reporting Near Misses and/or other safety and environmental hazards, wearing all required PPE and encouraging others to do the same.\nAssembles component parts to company specifications and customer expectations in a manner consistent with the company’s quality and productivity standards. Requires a sufficient understanding of the functional operation of the items assembled as well as the finished product.\nInspects all parts for proper assembly and cosmetic defects. Tags any non-conforming parts with re-work labels and places in re-work bin.\nEnsures all parts are assembled per specification.\nMaintains a clean workstation and cleans-up production areas as required.\nSets up machines per work instructions.\nLearns all machines in work area.\nDemonstrate a willingness to move to other lines and cells to fill company needs.\nFollows all safety guidelines and wears all Personal Protective Equipment.\nProactively addresses situations and takes into consideration the feelings, opinions and thoughts of others.\nCommunicates test results, ideas and problems to production technicians and engineers.\nIdentifies discrepant materials/components both in writing and verbally to supervisor.\nCompletes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules and within standard times.\nPerforms all other tasks and duties as assigned by Line/Team Leads or any other member of the management team.\nEnsures compliance and safety of all activities within the organization standards and policies.\nPerforms all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.\n\nYour Profile\n\nQualifications & Experience:\nPossesses a stable work history, preferably in a manufacturing environment, and a strong personal desire to work safely and maintain a safe working environment.\nDemonstrates a strong customer focus along with a great work ethic and willingness to do what needs to be done (without taking shortcuts.)\nDemonstrated knowledge of basic math, including working with decimals, and strong mechanical aptitude. Possesses a logical method of problem solving and willingness to learn and improve one’s skills. Demonstrates a strong commitment to meet and exceed customer requirements at all times.\nMust maintain regular and reliable attendance for all scheduled shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed to meet business demands.\nPossesses good hand-eye coordination and is able to perform detailed work with a strong attention to detail and quality.\nUses time wisely and is accountable to self and the team.\nPosition is required to be able to lift up to 40 pounds, perform repetitious duties and walk or stand for long periods of time on a daily basis.\nAbility to read and understand blue prints and work instructions.\nDemonstrated reliability, good initiative, committed, and quality focused.\nHighly organized with ability to work independently as well as part of a team.\nExhibits integrity through fair and ethical behaviors in all activities; maintains accountability for performance.\nStrong attention to detail with well-developed organizational and communication skills.\nProven experience developing work processes to improve outcomes for the team/customers.\n\nEducation:\nHigh School Diploma or G.E.D. and be able to read, write, and speak in English.\n\nGeneral Physical Requirements:\nAbility to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours per shift.\nAbility to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 40 lbs.\nFrequent reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, and crouching to assemble parts and operate machinery.\nAbility to perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements to handle small components and assembly tasks.\nSufficient hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for assembling parts with precision and accuracy.\nAbility to grasp and manipulate small tools, fixtures, or materials as part of the assembly process.\nWork Environment & Sensory Conditions:\nExposure to moderate industrial noise and varying temperatures in a manufacturing setting.\nAbility to work in an environment where dust, lubricants, or other airborne particles may be present.\nRequired to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, and other protective gear as needed.\nAbility to visually inspect parts for defects and ensure quality standards are met.\nThe [above] is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the performance of this job.
