As a Technology Project Manager at Design West Engineering, you will have the opportunity to apply your design expertise to exciting and challenging projects while working under the supervision of top engineers in the Architectural, Engineering and Construction industry.The ideal candidate will possess 5+ years of experience as a Technology Project Manager with Revit and AutoCAD experience, have the ability to complete project designs in all stages of a project, have excellent communication and time management skills, work well in a team environment, be familiar with commonly used business codes, and be proficient with Microsoft Office.This role offers a hybrid option, with three days of in-person work and two days of remote work.Sign-on bonus offered for direct applicantsRequired QualificationsProficient in Microsoft Office, Autodesk (AutoCAD and Revit), and Bluebeam StudioBS in Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience5+ years of experience as a Technology Project Manager in Technology Engineering for telecommunication systems, electronic security systems, and audiovisual systems.Proficient in project design, with the ability to complete a full project design throughout all phases of the project (Schematic Design to Close Out)Proven ability to manage 10+ projects at one timeExcellent communication skillsExperience completing SpecsPossess a working knowledge of California Building Codes, National Electrical Codes, and the ability to quickly identify and rectify code-issues within the design.Demonstrate understanding of industry best practices pertaining to drawings, specifications, industry standards, and client requirementsComfortable working in an office environment and performing job site inspectionsAbility to work both independently and with a team.Adaptable to changeMust have excellent time management skills to meet project deadlines.Desired Qualifications10 or more years of experience as a Project Manager in Technology EngineeringProficiency in understanding the requirements of various government agenciesEIT/ PE License or demonstrated progress toward these goals.RCDD CertificateConstruction Documents Technologist (CSI)Experience with electronic security and/or audiovisual systemsExperience with other technology systems (i.e. nurse call, WiFi, cellular, DAS)Ability to mentor and be a resource for junior team members and other design teams within Design West EngineeringProven track record of innovation and developmentWillingness to accept responsibilities outside of the job descriptionJob Duties Will IncludeResearch technical product informationConduct and/or delegate job site inspections to determine existing conditions and the extent of progress made by contractorsDesign, coordinate, and engineer systems per discipline (telecom, security, network, audiovisual, acoustics, Wi-Fi, etc.)Prepare drawings, specifications, contract documents, and design calculations utilizing Revit and AutoCADPerform job site inspections to determine existing conditions and the extent of progress made by contractorsProvide support to the team, develop tools, improve processes, and share technical knowledgeAttend and contribute to internal team, discipline, and project meetingsWork on projects for the continuous improvement of the firm and design practicePerform other work-related duties as assignedCompany HighlightsProfessional development support through certification assistance, educational opportunities, and ongoing mentorshipInternal team events to encourage team building and employee wellnessHybrid work schedule to encourage work–life balanceAn inclusive atmosphere with a people-first philosophyEnd of year office-wide closure, typically from Dec 24 – Jan 1, contingent upon year-end financial review and project deadlines.Targeted Compensation$90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experienceOpportunity for a bonus twice per yearSummary Of Personal BenefitsHealth insurance for employees is covered 100%, with the option to add dependents for an additional costDental and Vision Insurance 100% coverage for employees and their dependentsEmployee Assistance Program with additional resources for employee wellness$25,000 Life InsurancePaid sick leavePaid vacation timePaid holiday time401(k) retirement plans with company contributions.HSA, FSA, Legal services, and other voluntary benefits are available to all employees for an additional cost
