This position reports to the Plant ManagerPrimary Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following:Hands on prevent maintenance\r\nBreak/Fix - Hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, sensors, and wiring (480)\r\nEnsures the timely processing of pans throughout the process\r\nWorks closely with the plant manager to schedule shift times\r\nCommunicates well with the plant manager utilizing both written and verbal skills\r\nHolds employees accountable for their actions and ensures all employees follow the correct procedures\r\nIn the absence of the plant manager, schedules trucking and shift start times\r\nCompletes work-orders\r\nEnsures die molds are ready for upcoming production runs\r\nChecks the specific gravity of the glaze material and adjusts if necessary\r\nWorks closely with employees utilizing a hands-on approach\r\nMakes any needed mechanical repairs when possible\r\nIs responsible for the housekeeping of the plant both inside and outside\r\nChecks the first pan glazed at the start of each glazing operation to ensure proper coverage and makes adjustments if necessary\r\nEnsures trucks are loaded correctly\r\nEnsures pan count is correct and constantly checks the quality of the entire process\r\nEnsures all employees are utilizing the proper PPE at all times\r\nEnsures any required safety checks are performed and documented\r\nImmediately notifies the plant manager or supervisor of any quality issues\r\nReports any unsafe conditions to the plant manager immediately and corrects the problem if possible\r\nUnderstands and is familiar with all other job descriptions, operations, and hazards\r\nPerforms other job duties as the plant manager deem necessary\r\nQualifications, Knowledge and Skills:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.\r\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, material safety data sheets, operating and maintenance instructions, company handbook, and procedure manuals.\r\nAbility to regularly stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl ; use hands to finger, handle, or feels objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk, hear, taste and smell.\r\nSafety glasses, safety shoes, ear plugs, plant approved gloves, long pants, short or long-sleeved shirts required.
