This is a highly visible role requiring strong accounting expertise, sound business judgment, and the ability to identify and solve process issues across departments.\nSuccess in this role requires developing a comprehensive understanding of the business and working closely with operational leadership to ensure that accounting records accurately reflect operational activity.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nLead and manage all accounting and financial operations for Propeller Aero Services.\nDirect the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.\nPrepare and oversee the timely production of accurate financial statements and management reporting packages.\nManage the accumulation, reconciliation, and consolidation of financial data necessary for accurate financial reporting.\nDevelop, implement, and maintain strong accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.\nCoordinate and serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial consultants.\nManage annual budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial analysis activities.\nProvide management with timely and accurate financial information to support business decision-making.\nDevelop and monitor key financial and operational performance metrics.\nEvaluate existing accounting processes and systems and implement improvements where appropriate.\nEnsure compliance with all regulatory reporting requirements, tax filings, and accounting standards.\nLead month-end balance sheet reconciliations and review significant journal entries.\nDevelop and maintain accurate inventory accounting and reconciliation processes.\nEnsure accurate accounting treatment of fuel inventory, equipment leasing activities, customer billing, and other operational transactions.\nPartner with operational leadership to understand, document, and improve business processes that impact financial reporting.\nIdentify control weaknesses, process gaps, and operational inefficiencies and implement corrective actions.\nEvaluate the effectiveness of accounting software, reporting systems, and supporting databases.\nSupport strategic initiatives, growth opportunities, and other special projects as assigned.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required.\nCPA designation strongly preferred.\nMinimum seven (7) years of progressive accounting experience with increasing levels of responsibility.\nPrior experience leading month-end close, financial statement preparation, and audit coordination.\nStrong understanding of GAAP and internal control frameworks.\nExperience developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures.\nStrong inventory accounting experience required.\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems.\nExperience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software required.\nPREFERRED EXPERIENCE\nAviation, FBO, transportation, logistics, fuel distribution, or other inventory intensive industry experience.\nExperience working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, or privately held business environment.\nExperience implementing process improvements and strengthening internal controls.\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to understand operational processes and translate them into accurate financial reporting.\nStrong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.\nAbility to work independently while partnering effectively with operational and executive leadership.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to prioritize competing demands and meet critical deadlines.\nHigh degree of integrity, accountability, and professional judgment.\nPay: $130,000.00 -
