The Electrical Project Manager collaborates with clients, engineers, electricians, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure that electrical projects are executed efficiently, safely, and within budget while meeting quality standards and adhering to relevant regulations.\nWhat you'll do\nCollaborate with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, objectives, and scope.\nDevelop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk assessments.\nObtain necessary permits and approvals for electrical projects.\nBudget and Cost Management:\nPrepare detailed cost estimates for electrical projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.\nMonitor project expenses and manage budgets to avoid cost overruns.\nIdentify cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety and quality.\nAssemble and lead project teams, including electricians, subcontractors, and support staff.\nDelegate tasks, set clear expectations, and ensure efficient coordination among team members.\nProvide leadership and support to motivate and guide the project team.\nReview electrical designs and engineering plans to ensure they meet project requirements and comply with relevant codes and standards.\nCollaborate with electrical engineers to address technical challenges and implement design modifications when necessary.\nProcurement and Material Management.\nCoordinate the procurement of electrical materials and equipment required for the project.\nEnsure timely delivery of materials and manage inventory to avoid delays.\nSupervise and monitor electrical construction activities to ensure they align with project plans and specifications.\nImplement and enforce quality control measures to ensure compliance with electrical codes and industry standards.\nConduct inspections to verify the quality and safety of electrical work.\nPromote and enforce adherence to electrical safety protocols and relevant regulations.\nConduct safety training for project personnel to maintain a safe working environment.\nMaintain open and effective communication with clients, providing regular updates on project progress, milestones, and any issues or changes.\nCollaborate with other stakeholders to address design modifications, technical challenges, and change orders.\nMaintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, change orders, progress reports, and meeting minutes.\nPrepare comprehensive project reports for internal and external stakeholders.\nCoordinate the finalization of electrical projects, including the completion of punch lists and final inspections.\nFacilitate the turnover of the project to the client, ensuring all necessary documentation and training are provided.\nQualifications\nRequired Skills, Experience, and Education\nBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.\nProven experience as an Electrical Project Manager, demonstrating successful project completions in electrical construction.\nIn-depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes, regulations, and construction practices.\nStrong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams effectively.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and facilitate effective collaboration.\nDetail-oriented with the ability to manage complex projects and meet deadlines.\nKnowledge of electrical safety regulations and best practices.\nProficiency in project management software and tools.\nRelevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PE) are a plus.\n\nPreferred Skills and Abilities\n5+ years of PM experience\nProjects up to $10,000,000\nStrong proficiency in software and tools (e.g., Accubid, Bluebeam, Procore, Plangrid) and Microsoft Office Suite\nWinning Behaviors and Competencies\nReal-time Communication is key to success: We will communicate real-time to our team members and clients.\nKnowing our projects is key to success: Preplanning and continuous planning habits lead to success.
