Job DescriptionThe IT & Security Business Analyst, reporting to the BAE Systems US Controls IT & Security Business Partner, builds and maintains strong relationships with technology and business stakeholders. Through these relationships they work across the IT & Security organization to ensure the delivery of IT projects and services to the business. This role will review project and daily operations status, develop and manage schedules, generate project planning documentation, and prepare status reports. The position is accountable for leading Inc IT operations and project team members to achieve related business objectives, building road maps for improvement initiatives, driving change into the organization, and understanding the linkages and dependencies with other corporate initiatives. Specific responsibilities include:Collaborates with business to understand IT requirements and prioritiesUnderstands market directions and challenges, including customer priorities and competitive issuesEngages business stakeholders to understand IT & Security requirements and prioritiesProvides early forecasting of high-level future business directions to IT & Security functional counterparts and relevant IT service centersCommunicates business needs with appropriate IT solution centers and/or Security representatives (internal/external) to gain alignment between business needs and outcomesDefines, prioritizes, and represents IT & Security related program and project initiatives for the businessGathers detailed business requirements and defines scope by conducting meetings/interviews, and facilitating large group/cross-functional sessions with partnersEnsures accurate representation and integration of functional stakeholders to major IT & Security projectsAssures IT & Security Service Delivery to the Product Lines through strong partnerships, communications, commitment, and mutual accountability with IT & Security (internal/external) counterparts and relevant IT service centersIdentifies IT & Security functional challenges and supports continuous improvement initiativesPromotes cybersecurity compliance without significant impact to business operationsMaintains up-to-date awareness of the current and future directions of the industry and associated technologies, and forms recommendations for implementing new/upgraded systems, technologies and/or processes in the IT and or Security domains ensuring compliant and modernized capabilities are deployed About BAE Systems Electronic SystemsBAE Systems, Inc. is the U.S. subsidiary of BAE Systems plc, an international defense, aerospace and security company which delivers a full range of products and services for air, land and naval forces, as well as advanced electronics, security, information technology solutions and customer support services.
