Skilled General Labor- CDL Driver license at Elite Construction Company Valdosta, GA

Position Overview Elite Construction is seeking a General Labor Construction worker with CDL driver license to assist with our many commercial and local projects. Responsibilities Operate large vehicles safely under various road and weather conditions (CDL A or B). Operate heavy equipment such as dump trucks, backhoes, front-end loaders, or forklifts. Perform routine maintenance, vehicle inspections, and minor troubleshooting. Use hand and power tools safely (saws, drills, grinders). Secure and load materials safely. Plan routes efficiently using GPS or maps. Assist level workers by performing specific or general duties of a lesser skill of the trade. Make safety the first priority and comply with OSHA, company policies, and local agencies. Work in safe manner on uneven terrain, at various heights, and in various weather conditions. May handle duties such as operating lawn mower and routine yard cleanup. Qualifications Valid CDL (Class A or B) with clean driving record. Basic mechanical knowledge for routine maintenance. Experience with construction equipment preferred but training available. Strong teamwork, problem solving, communication, and time management skills. Physically able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs, lift more force occasionally. Must own reliable transportation and a car (no exceptions). Must pass a drug screening and background check. Must provide own steel‑toed boots. Willingness to work 40+ hours Monday through Friday, including weekend work. Available for overtime as required. Must have reliable transportation and pass drug test. Physical Demands Repetitive motion of shoulders, arms, hands, wrists, fingers. Lifting and maneuvering heavy objects up to 50 lbs. Standing for long periods of time without sitting. Exposed to walking, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, squatting, climbing, kneeling, reaching, twisting. Work Environment On-site environment, may be indoors or outdoors. Exposure to heights, hot/cold weather, loud noises, dust, fumes. Uneven terrain, unfinished building structures, general construction areas. Compensation and Schedule $16.00 - $19.00 per hour depending on experience. Full‑time position. 40+ hours Monday through Friday, with weekend work. Shift starts 7:00 AM and continues till 5:00 PM, with overtime as needed.
