(GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.\n\nWe have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer working within our ASI Division located in Poway, CA.\n\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nResponsible for the electrical Integration of avionics modules and payloads into unmanned air vehicle systems.\nDesigning of cables and wire harnesses that interconnect electronic equipment within the vehicle.\nResponsible for generating system cable interconnect diagrams, point-to-point cable wiring schematics, cable lengths, routing details, and cable BOM.\nResponsible for integration tests to verify functional operation. Responsible for generating test fixtures and test procedures for system level test.\nSupports operation of engineering systems by evaluating and interpreting needs and problems and develops effective approaches to resolving those issues.\nTroubleshoots, analyzes, and repairs systems in assigned area by utilizing standard engineering and scientific principles.\nProvides documentation and makes technical presentations as required.\nDirects the activities of designers, technicians and may direct the activities of less experienced professional staff.\nMaintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.\nMust have an understanding of engineering concepts, principles, and theory and experience demonstrating the application of those concepts while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.\nMust possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment and organize work assignments to meet established timetables.\nGood communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.\n\nWe recognize and appreciate the value and contributions of individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences and welcome all qualified individuals to apply.\n\nJob Qualifications\nTypically requires a bachelors or master’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and two or more years of engineering experience with a bachelor’s degree. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.
