This role plays a key part in achieving departmental and plant objectives related to capacity expansion, quality improvement, waste reduction, and cost efficiency.The Process Engineer reports to the Manufacturing Unit Technical Leader and manages multiple assignments of varying scope and complexity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, implement, and manage machine improvements and capital equipment projects\nProvide mechanical design expertise and troubleshooting support\nGuide maintenance and operations staff in troubleshooting mechanical systems, including cam-driven mechanisms, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment\nSupport manufacturing operations by identifying issues and driving solutions\nCoordinate cross-functionally with equipment vendors, R&D, and plant departments\nManage moderate to large-scale engineering projects requiring extensive coordination\nPrepare and manage capital appropriation requests and control project expenditures\nEnsure compliance with established safety standards during equipment operation and modification\nComplete or oversee engineering designs, drawings, calculations, and specifications\nRecommend vendors and manage contractor selection and performance\nImplement capital equipment or process modifications, including installation, debugging, and training of production personnel\nMaintain all associated documentation, including validations, operating procedures, preventive maintenance schedules, engineering change notifications, and spare parts lists\nDevelop comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing equipment, including setup, adjustment, and performance improvement\nAchieve targeted cost reductions and operational efficiency improvements\nMaintain accountability for spending within approved program budgets\nAdditional Responsibilities\nPerform other duties as assigned by the Engineering Supervisor\nDirect support personnel during equipment installation, modification, or removal\nMay provide functional guidance to other engineers as required\nEducation\nBachelor’s degree preferred in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Bioengineering, or a related discipline\nEquivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree\nWork Environment & Safety Requirements\nSmoke-free campus; smoking, electronic smoking devices, marijuana, and tobacco products are not permitted on company property\nJewelry, false eyelashes, press-on fingernails, and dermal piercings are not permitted on the production floor; dermal piercings must be covered if present\nSteel-toe, non-slip safety shoes are required on the production floor\nSirius Staffing is an equal-opportunity employer.
