Develop and approve new products to support our conveyor belt business. This is done within the goal of PD to lay the foundation of innovation for the BA IAM to be the leader for highly developed products and systems.How You Will Make An ImpactWork with Material Platform / Material Process Engineering to define specifications and test procedures for raw material suppliers (cord, fabric, coating, rubber)Assist in the development of new alternative material suppliers and support the audit if necessary Customer acquisition and PD to gain new businessSupport global standardization and consolidation of belt and service material specifications Contribute to product management activitiesDefine DFMEA and product DVP to meet the project requirement book and develop test plans and procedures Drive the New Product Developments and Technical Lead in development projectsDrive, document and train design standards for the product lineSystematically analyze own and competitor products, including their product performance and manufacturing processTechnical experts to train new engineering staff, to help in complaint questions, back-up for Application Engineering Transfer master recipes to local requirements and input products in specific plantsContribute to CT raw material strategy around sustainable products by approving into final productsApproval of alternative suppliers, Raw Materials (Polymers, Chemicals, Fabrics, Steel Cables, Fasteners, Splice Materials, etc.)" Establish required cooperation with external partners (suppliers, universities, institutes, ATD, customers (OEMs), etc. Execute special projects utilizing PM methods and proceduresSupport creation of KPI documentation, STI results, and necessary information for communicating department successes Provide support for training information and transfer of knowledge to other parts of the organization (Application Engineering, Central Technology, Customers, Distributors, Field service, Commercial, etc.).Update and maintain the required design guidelines to allow easy transfer of information and rules to other parts of the organization Understand all aspects of product cost including product design, materials, manufacturing and packaging.Pursue cost reduction opportunities on a continuous basis to support competitive market position Support the plant and business in analysis and execution of value engineering opportunities for other products outside core competencyQualificationsWHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLEBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related2+ years of experience in agricultural or industrial product designFundamental Knowledge in Elastomers, Thermoplastics, Reinforcements, and according to manufacturing processes Structural and methodical working and thinking Project Management Intercultural and communication skills Strong MS Office skillsLegal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
