As an Unarmed Security Officer, you will be part of a highly trained security team that supports critical facilities and infrastructure, public venues that required an enhanced presence and personal protective services. You’ll be trained by our team of highly qualified firearms instructors in safe weapons handling and marksmanship. As an Unarmed Security Officer, you are an integral part of the broad spectrum of specialized security services Inter-Con provides its clients every day.\nSpecific benefits include:\nCompetitive Pay\nRecognition and Reward Programs.\nTraining and Career Development.\nOpportunities for Medical, dental, Holidays, vacation and sick, and 401 (k) retirement plan.\nUniform and equipment provided\nAdditional benefits vary depending on position.\nExpected Responsibilities:\nMake access badges in accordance to SLA\nScreen associates and determine root cause of activations\nMonitor post activity to ensure the security of the facility, preventing unauthorized access\nReview and save CCTV video regarding incidents\nComplete various logs\nComplete incident reports by end of shift\nRespond to alarms in accordance to SLA standards\nInput Incident Reports in database by end of shift\nProvide direction and support to associates and assist associates with security matters as needed\nConduct patrols and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, unusual circumstances and/or behavior, maintenance issues, accidents, injuries, etc.\nMonitor building activity to ensure the security of the facility, preventing unauthorized access\nConduct various audits\nRespond to alarms in accordance to SLA standards\nProvide direction and support to associates and assist associates with security matters as needed\nPerform escorts if requested\nRespond and assist with all emergencies\nBack fills open positions for breaks lunches and/or call offs as needed\nMakes access badges\nParticipate in emergency evacuation response\nOther duties as agreed to by the parties\nRequirements:\nMust have a High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent\nMust be CPR/First Aid/AED certified\nMust understand, read, and write in English\nSuccessfully complete a Fingerprint background check and drug screening\nState Guard Card\nReliable Transportation\nQualifications:\nValid, unexpired U.S. Driver’s License STRONGLY PREFERRED\nValid California BSIS Guard Card\nStrong computer skills (typing, basic software, report writing)\nProfessional communication skills — verbal and written\nLeadership qualities and ability to take initiative\nOpen and flexible availability, including weekends/nights\nPrevious security experience not required, we provide on the job training!\nInter-Con Overview\nFounded in 1973, Inter-Con Security Systems, Inc. is a leading US-owned security company, providing integrated security solutions to government and commercial customers on four continents.
