Auditor/Educator
Job Description: Supports the Coding and documentation quality assurance (CDQA) teams responsibilities.Implements and ensures compliance with coding policies and procedures.Performs and manages internal audits or reviews for compliance/quality monitoring.Develops and presents educational programs for coding compliance.Audits and trains for corrective action plans related to coding and billing.Conducts systematic internal audits via medical record and charge ticket review.Maintains accurate, complete, and timely documentation.Requirements: High school diploma/GED required.Must possess at least one of the following license/certifications: RHIT, RHIA, CPC, CCSMinimum of three (3) years experience in coding and/or auditing required.Audit experience preferred.Medical terminology, ICD-9, CPT-4, and HCPCS knowledge required.Must have a proficient knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and other third party payer documentation, coding, and billing regulations.Must possess excellent organizational and planning skills.Must possess computer skills, especially with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel applications.Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.Benefits: MedicalDentalVisionShort-term and long-term disabilityGroup term life insuranceOptional voluntary benefitsEmployee Wellness rewards program
