Lead Signage Installer
Description:While working as a Lead Signage Installer, you will be responsible for overseeing installation projects, ensuring quality standards are met, and supervising a team of installation technicians. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in signage installation, including proficiency in handling a variety of signage materials and equipment. This role requires excellent leadership, training and development, communication, and problem-solving skills.Requirements:Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupervise and provide training and mentorship to installation team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues in a timely manner.Work with the Production Director, Installation and Service Coordinator, Fabrication and the Project Manager team to plan and coordinate installation projects, including resource allocation and logistics.Quality check and package completed jobs then load vehicles and transport signage for installation.Accurately install a variety of signage and large format materials using power and hand tools, welders, post hole diggers, adhesives, stud finders and leveling equipment, cranes, scaffolds, and ladders.Complete electrical connections on signage where the customer has provided hook-up within six feet of the install location.Maintain effective relationships with customers and a clean, safe, and damage-free workspace while on-site.Interpret specifications, artwork, job orders, and company policies and procedures to make on-site decisions about final placement and application.Enter information into a computer/tablet in order to keep track of jobs and assignments, including providing pictures of completed work for both billing and marketing purposes.Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations on all installation sites.Manage HR functions such as employee timekeeping, hiring, onboarding, training, disciplinary actions and terminations.RequirementsQualifications3-5 years’ experience in fabricated/electrical signage installationStrong knowledge of signage materials, fabrication techniques, and installation methods.Proficiency in using installation tools and equipment, including power tools, cranes, and lifts.Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and signage designs.Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to work independently and with a team and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.Stick welding and basic low voltage electrical experience.Certifications (preferred but not required): CDL (class A or B), DOT, OSHA 10 & 30, Crane Operation Safety Certification, CPR/First Aid, Aerial Lift SafetyEducationHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED)Language SkillsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsAbility to write routine reports and correspondenceAbility to speak effectively with customersMathematical SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimalsReasoning AbilityAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization existsAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formComputer SkillsPerforming this job successfully requires that an individual have a basic understanding of Windows and internet usageProficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook preferredOther QualificationsVision abilities required by this job are the ability to see clearly at 20 inches or less, the ability to identify and distinguish colors, and the ability to adjust focus.Job CompetenciesShows strong initiativeAbility to multi-task and meet deadlines; highly detail oriented and meticulousStrong critical thinking and analytical skillsTeam-oriented mindsetExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsCommitted to company mission and valuesPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, one is regularly required to walk to the production area as well as unfamiliar customer spaces.
