Territory Sales Manager – HardscapesDepartment: Sales Status: Full-Time Compensation: Salary + Bonus Territory: Assigned Geographic RegionPosition SummaryThe Territory Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth of Rochester Concrete Products’ hardscape product portfolio, including pavers, retaining walls, outdoor living products, porcelain systems, and related accessories. This role focuses on developing and managing relationships with dealers, distributors, landscape contractors, retaining wall contractors, architects, engineers, landscape architects, and other industry professionals within an assigned territory.The Territory Sales Manager serves as the primary RCP representative in the market and is responsible for creating demand, increasing market share, supporting dealer partners, training contractors, influencing specifications, and identifying new business opportunities.Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Territory Management•Develop and execute a territory sales plan to achieve annual sales and profitability objectives.• Grow sales of Rochester Concrete Products’ residential and commercial hardscape product lines.•Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory.• Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.•Develop annual sales forecasts and territory growth strategies.Dealer & Distributor Management•Build and maintain strong relationships with authorized dealers and distributors.•Conduct regular dealer visits to review sales performance, inventory levels, merchandising, and market opportunities.•Assist dealers with sales strategies, promotional programs, product displays, and contractor engagement initiatives.•Ensure dealer personnel are properly trained on RCP products and value propositions.•Collaborate with dealer partners to increase market penetration and customer satisfaction.Contractor Development•Establish and maintain relationships with landscape contractors, retaining wall contractors, paver installers, excavation contractors, and outdoor living professionals.•Conduct product demonstrations, lunch-and-learns, installation training, and educational events.•Assist contractors with product selection, project planning, and technical support.•Generate demand through contractor conversion and loyalty-building activities.•Promote new products and programs to drive adoption and market growth.Specification & Commercial Market Development•Develop relationships with landscape architects, engineers, architects, municipalities, and commercial contractors.•Promote RCP products for inclusion in project specifications and bid documents.•Assist design professionals with product information, technical resources, and project support.•Track commercial projects and work with stakeholders to increase specification opportunities.Customer Relationship Management•Utilize company CRM software to manage customer information, sales opportunities, project tracking, and territory activities.•Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, project updates, and sales forecasts.•Follow up on leads, project opportunities, and customer inquiries in a timely manner.Marketing & Business Development•Represent Rochester Concrete Products at trade shows, industry events, contractor meetings, and educational seminars.•Support company marketing initiatives and local promotional programs.•Coordinate and conduct training events for customers, contractors, dealers, and industry professionals.•Identify opportunities for new product introductions and market expansion.Administrative Responsibilities•Submit weekly activity reports and territory updates.•Manage travel and territory expenses within approved budgets.•Operate within company policies and procedures.•Perform other duties as assigned.Preferred Qualifications•Minimum of three years of sales experience, preferably in construction materials, hardscapes, landscape products, building materials, or related industries.•Demonstrated ability to build and manage customer relationships.•Experience working with dealers, distributors, contractors, architects, or design professionals.•Strong presentation and training skills.•Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.•Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, Landscape Design, or related field a plus.•Proficient in CRM software, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.•Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills.Physical Requirements•Ability to travel extensively throughout assigned territory.•Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.•Ability to lift and carry product samples, displays, and marketing materials up to 85 pounds.•Ability to walk active construction sites and outdoor project locations.•Ability to stand for extended periods during training events, trade shows, and customer visits.Success Measures•Achievement of annual sales and profitability targets.•Growth in dealer and contractor engagement.•Increased product specifications and project approvals.•Expansion of market share within assigned territory.•Effective CRM utilization and pipeline management.Positive customer and dealer satisfaction.Rochester Concrete Products is only accepting applications from candidates who live in Minnesota and can make the daily commute to the Twin Cities.
