The hourly pay range for this position is $28.00 per hour - $30.00 per hour.\n\nWork Hours\n\nThe work hours for this position are Mon - Fri + Weekends, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.\n\nKey Purpose\n\nThe Engineer I performs routine maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance on building equipment and systems. This position is responsible for responding to service requests, completing assigned work orders, and ensuring facilities remain safe, clean, and operational. Work is performed under general supervision.\n\nSuccess Criteria\n\nComplete assigned preventive and corrective maintenance tasks safely, accurately, and within expected timeframes.\nRespond promptly to maintenance requests and communicate status or concerns as needed.\nFollow all OSHA, company, and client safety procedures.\nMaintain accurate maintenance records and properly document work orders in the CMMS.\nMaintain clean, organized, and safe mechanical rooms and work areas.\nDemonstrate strong customer service and professionalism when interacting with clients, coworkers, and building occupants.\nSupport emergency response activities as needed.\n\nKey Areas of Collaboration and Influence\n\nWork closely with higher-level Engineers and Facilities leadership to support building operations and maintenance activities.\nAssist higher-level Engineers with larger repairs, projects, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance activities.\nCommunicate building issues, equipment abnormalities, and maintenance needs to the appropriate team members.\nespond professionally to maintenance requests from clients, occupants, and internal teams.\n\n Ideal Candidate Experience\n\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\n1–3 years of commercial building maintenance experience preferred.\nBasic working knowledge of:\n HVAC systems\nPlumbing systems\nElectrical systems\nMechanical equipment\nAbility to use common hand and power tools safely.\nAbility to read and understand basic blueprints, equipment manuals, and technical instructions.\nBasic experience troubleshooting commercial building equipment.\nStrong customer service and communication skills.\nAbility to learn new building systems, equipment, and maintenance procedures.\n\nKey Accountabilities\n\nPerform preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment.\nRespond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.\nTroubleshoot basic building equipment and system issues.\nComplete general building repairs involving:\nLighting\nDoors\nCeilings\nFlooring\nPlumbing fixtures\nOther general building systems\nMonitor building automation systems and report abnormal conditions or equipment concerns.\nReplace filters, belts, lamps, batteries, and other routine consumable components.\nMaintain accurate maintenance records and update work orders using the CMMS.\nAssist higher-level Engineers with larger repairs, maintenance activities, and projects.\nMaintain clean mechanical rooms, equipment areas, and workspaces.\nParticipate in emergency response activities as needed.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nPhysical Demands & Work Environment\n\nAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.\nAbility to safely operate common hand and power tools.\nAbility to perform maintenance activities in commercial building environments, including mechanical and equipment spaces.\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical maintenance tasks throughout the workday.\nMust be able to safely perform the physical requirements associated with inspecting, maintaining, and repairing building equipment and systems.\n\nHSEQ Compliance: All employees must adhere to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
