This is predominantly done through developing test strategies, creating / updating test automation code, executing tests (both automated and manual), and analyzing / troubleshooting defects. It is a unique and challenging role that combines the \"building\" aspect of software development with the \"breaking\" aspect of software testing. While they are responsible for all quality activities within their team, the focus is on collaboration and writing code that automatically verifies application changes.\n\nAssociate SDET’s are expected to have competency both in software development and are learning modern software testing practices. They collaborate with product development teams to ensure the delivery of high quality, high value product features. They seek to understand how our customers use our products and applications, and the technical implementation of them. They ensure our sites, products, and platforms perform to industry-beating quality levels by designing, developing, and maintaining automated solutions using Python / Pytest that support the development, testing, and deployment of our software solutions. Associate SDET’s are expected to take responsibility for work and follow through on commitments but are supported by their team and more senior SDETs. Asking for help is expected and a positive attribute of our teams!\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\n\nGain product and application expertise through product documentation, internal collaboration, and customer feedback\nDevelop test strategies / plans / scenarios and acceptance tests and leverage AI-assisted tools and technologies\nDesign, build, and execute test cases, including manual and automated frontend / backend tests on one or more application platforms, such as Desktop and Web\nCreate and maintain automated tests in Python / Pytest\nAnalyze, troubleshoot, and report test results\nIntegrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines\nActively participate in design and code reviews to design and implement stable, testable, high-quality services and functionality.\nOperate within an Agile framework, adapting to iterative development cycles and contributing to scrum ceremonies\nPursue continuous learning and professional development to stay abreast of industry standards and new technologies\nThis job description in no way implies that the duties listed here are the only ones that team members can be required to perform\nQualifications:\n\nWhat You Bring to the Team\n\nBS degree in Computer Sciences, programming or a related discipline or demonstrable equivalent experience\nStrong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming Principles, Data Structures, and Algorithms\nThe ability to keep current with the constantly changing technology industry.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills\nExcellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills\nPython development experience preferred\n\nPhysical Demands and Work Environment:\n\nThe physical activities of this position include frequent sitting, telephone communication, working on a computer for extended periods of time.
