Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.\r\nQualificationsEducation/Certification/Licensure\r\nHigh school diploma or GED\r\nEducational Aide II certification\r\n48 college hours or passing score on Paraprofessional Exam\r\nSpecial Knowledge/Skills\r\nAbility to work well with children\r\nPatience, tolerance, and flexibility\r\nPositive and productive communication and interpersonal skills\r\nGeneral knowledge of objective data collection and interpretation\r\nBasic computer skills\r\nAbility to incorporate behavior principles in positive, proactive, and instructional ways\r\nKnowledge of district physical restraint and crisis intervention plan\r\nVerifiable experience working with children (e.g., sports, girl/boy scouts)\r\nMajor Responsibilities and DutiesSupport and assist teachers with teaching duties, including attendance records, and preparing instructional materials.\r\nAttend professional learning opportunities as assigned (e.g., Crisis Prevention Intervention).\r\nAssist Staff with student specific discipline and behavior management as developed by the ARD committee and school/district plan.\r\nAssist teachers in guiding/supervising students in daily activities, including personal hygiene, appropriate dress, eating habits, appropriate behavior, etc. in the school setting as well as in the community.\r\nContribute to a positive school climate through use of praise, encouragement, and example.\r\nAdminister to students with severe physical handicaps, lifting, feeding, cleaning, maintaining hygiene, and taking care of any other personal services that the student requires.\r\nClean, disinfect, and maintain equipment and supplies.\r\nAssist campus staff in collecting and interpreting individual student data.\r\nResponsible for correctly implementing crisis prevention and intervention strategies.\r\nImplement individualized provision of positive and negative reinforcements for student behaviors.\r\nMaintain student/staff confidentiality at all times.\r\nAssist with student transitions.\r\nModel instructional and behavior strategies with individual students.\r\nMaintain log of activities.\r\nAssist with professional learning opportunities, as assigned.\r\nAssist staff in implementing data-driven decision making for improvement efforts based on best practices.\r\nExhibit CCISD Core Values of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.\r\nActively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.\r\nStay up-to-date professionally through the selection of quality professional learning opportunities for personal growth.\r\nResearch district policy, precedent, and current practices prior to taking action.\r\nParticipate as an effective team member who contributes to district, department, and content goals.\r\nDemonstrates proficient levels of technology applications.\r\nParticipates fully in drills and safety exercises to provide for the safety and overall emotional wellbeing of students.\r\nUtilize time wisely for effective management of job responsibilities.\r\nMaintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings.\r\nMeet task completion deadlines established by supervisor.\r\nMaintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers.\r\nWork cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met.\r\nMaintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal).\r\nPerform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.\r\nWorking ConditionsMental Demands\r\nEffective verbal and written communication; ability to maintain emotional control under stress\r\nPhysical Demands/Environmental Factors\r\nFrequent district-wide travel; moderate to heavy walking, standing, stooping, bending, and lifting; riding school bus for community instructions, exposure to chemicals for cleaning.
