Dishwasher Part-TimeThe Mount Vernon Inn Restaurant is seeking professional dishwashers to work in a high-volume commercial kitchen environment. Position requires flexibility with scheduling. Compensation: $15.00/hour Expected Hours: up to 30 hours/weekEssential Duties:Wash all kitchenware (dishes, cutlery, glasses, food storage containers, etc.)Maintain a clean and organized workspacePut away all dishes and kitchenware in their appropriate placesRemoval of trash and recyclingFloor cleaningLight preparationPerform other kitchen duties as assignedQualifications:Work efficiently and expedientlyPrevious restaurant or kitchen cleanliness experience preferredAbility to follow instructionsAbility to lift up to 50lbsEffective communication skillsAbility to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environmentMust be able to stand for long periodsMust be able to go up and down stairs in our multi-level kitchenAbility to work weekends, all holidays, mornings, and nightsWork Environment:This position is based in a commercial kitchen environment, often hot, humid, and fast-paced. Exposure to cooking equipment, cleaning chemicals, and sharp instruments is routine. Teamwork is essential in this high-energy setting.Physical Requirements:Must be able to stand for long periods, bend, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds. Must be able to go up and down stairs in our multi-level kitchen. Tasks involve repetitive motion and use of hands to handle food, tools, or controls.
