Shape what’s next for mission-critical government projects while shaping what’s next for your engineering career.\nResponsibilities:\nWork with Juniper Networks and Cisco Systems routers, switches, wireless (a plus), and other networking products within these vendor families.\nAnalyzes customer requirements and solves unusually complex problems with highly innovative solutions\nProvides expert knowledge for maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks\nProvides expert knowledge for maintaining network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capability\nCoordinates the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed\nCreates plans and configures systems for data communication networks\nDesigns and builds hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks\nEvaluates new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network\nMaintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned\nMay consult with executives and customers to deliver complex network solutions\nMay coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals\nMay serve as a team or task lead\nWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED\nBring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Senior Network Engineer must have:\nExperience: 10+ years of related experience\nWork is on-site with some telework. Must be local (Albuquerque, NM)\nTechnical skills: Network Communications and Data Center\nStrong expertise in Juniper routing, switching, and wireless technologies.\nHands-on experience with Junos OS, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, EVPN/VXLAN\nEnterprise wireless design and troubleshooting\nProven ability to deploy, optimize, and secure large-scale network environments while collaborating effectively across teams\nRecognized as a Subject Matter Expert in network engineering\nNice to have:\nEducation: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science\nAdvanced certifications (such as JNCIP/JNCIE)\nSecurity clearance level: Ability to obtain a Q clearance\nUS citizenship required\nRole requirements: Hybrid remote/onsite.
