It is the batch plant operator's responsibility to ensure that all the concrete we produce meets the required specifications. Batches product using computer or manual controls using proper mix and making necessary raw material adjustments.\nMake a commitment that each pour will be an experience worth bringing us back for.\nResponsibilities & Expectation\nWill conduct opening and closing procedures for plant/s according to established company procedures and guidelines.\nOperate a front-end loader to ensure the material bins are filled to meet plant demands.\nParticipate as an integral member of the plant leadership team to create a high performance.\nPerforms daily moisture testing on materials to ensure compliance with stated specifications.\nOperates batch console to make ready mix concrete according to customer and company specifications.\nDemonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies as well as instilling safety culture in the workforce\nHousekeeping, plant signage, and plant presentation must be maintained every day.\nEnsures the efficient and safe use of equipment and operations by personnel to complete all required tasks.\nInforms dispatch on a timely basis of any plant activity, issues or concerns that might impact customer service.\nCommunicates with support departments (HSE Manager, fleet/plant maintenance, other plant facilities, quality control, HR, etc.) on a timely basis to identify and resolve questions and/or issues.\nEnsures company compliance with all company, local, state and federal environmental policies, procedures and regulations.\nAssists the plant manager with supervising plant production employees to include administering all applicable company policies and procedures.\nAssists plant manager with managing employee work hours in the most cost-effective manner.\nPerforms routine maintenance and minor repairs to plant equipment as needed.\nAssists plant manager with administrative reporting to include cash sales report, delivery tickets, raw material receipts and other reports as needed/requested.\nAssists the plant manager with inventory measurement for all raw materials.\nAssists with the training of all production new hires at the site.\nAssist drivers with checking slumps on the slump stand at drivers' request.\nOther duties as assigned or required to ensure the production schedule is met.
