Assistant, Video Production (Part-Time)
Summary/Objective:
The Sugar Land Space Cowboys Video Production Associate is intended for individuals with a strong desire to gain real-world work experience, as well as a desire to work hard and give their best. Learning potential is endless in these positions and associates get as much out of the experience as what they put into it. The primary role of this position is video production.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Lead assistant to ballpark entertainment manager pre and post production duties including, but not limited to:
Create animations for ballpark entertainment game presentation including prompts and player introductions
Create animations for video content
Shoot player content for social and ballpark entertainment
Shoot and edit cinematic game footage
Edit various video projects across marketing department including highlight videos, player content, hype videos, etc.
Collaborate with marketing team on production and media projects and brainstorming
Assist with media relations gameday duties
Fill in as needed with gameday social media duties
Other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience & Skills:
High School Diploma or equivalent
In pursuit or recent completion of a bachelor’s degree in related fields is preferred
High level of professionalism with ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment
High attention to detail and deadline orientation
Highly motivated with strong work ethic
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
Proficient in photography and basic editing skills
Experience in Word and Excel
Knowledge of the game of baseball
Familiarity with the Astros organization
Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously
Ability to work independently and as a team member
Capable of following job guidelines and supervisors' instructions
Some experience in posting to Twitter, Facebook and Instagram channels, preferred
High level of professionalism with ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment
Superior attention to detail and deadline orientation
Ability to work efficiently
Work Environment
This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Ability to lift 20 lbs.
Ability to work outdoors.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time position, and hours of work on non-game days are typically hours between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Due to the nature of this position, the position requires hours of work and days that include frequent nights, weekends and holidays. Weekend hours and holidays will be required for game days.
Travel:
No travel is expected for this position.
