The Relay Software (ReSW) team is building the ground-segment software that will replace the legacy Space-Based Infrared System (SBIRS) with the Next-Generation OPIR mission – capable of detecting fast, dim and highly advanced threats.\n\nIn this role, you will collaborate across several teams to support and enhance the world class ground software supporting soon-to-launch space vehicles. You will be actively working with operational personal and products that communicate with missile seeking satellites. This is a Tier 2 support role where triaging and troubleshooting skills are important. When not ensuring the health and function of our software in Operations, you will work with a great team of Software Engineers to continue executing our technical roadmap.\n\nThe successful candidate will have a passion for learning. You will have experience and/or knowledge of SQL, Angular, Java, Python, and C++. You don’t mind the occasional requirement to support during non-standard business hours and working on high-priority system fixes. You are a US Citizen; this position will require government security clearance prior to starting.\n\nThis role will have responsibilities that include:\n\nTroubleshooting issues reported within our Operations domain.\nFixing high-priority, high-visibility issues in real time.\nAn on-call component – occasionally needing to support 24x7 as issues arise within an expected 40-hour work week.\nWorking within a team to design, implement, and test new software capabilities.\nProficiency in leveraging AI in emerging new ways as it applies to this position and practice.\nAppling the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.\nBasic Qualifications\n1+ years experience with one or more of Java, Python, and C++ programming languages.\nProficiency in SQL.\nFamiliarity with Angular framework.\nProven experience troubleshooting issues in Software and infrastructure.\nAbility to work seamlessly in a collaborative multi-team environment.\nProven ability to convey technical details to non-technical audiences.\nActive Secret government clearance with ability to gain TS/SCI non-polygraph.\nDesired Skills\nKnowledge of Agile Software Development.\nExperience using observability tools (i.e. Splunk) to trace transactions across microservice architecture.\nExperience with Message Broker and cross domain REST communication emphasizing Cyber Security and Reliability.\nExperience working within a modern micro-service architecture.\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering or other related degree from an accredited college/university.\nFamiliarity with OpenShift\nProven ability to triage, investigate, and resolve defects\n\nPay Information\n\nFull-Time Salary Range: $91200.00 - $169400.00\n\nAt Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
