Position OverviewUnder the direction of the Supervisor, the Lead will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of day-to-day operations including resolution of product, personnel, and process issues. The Lead person provides direction and support for operators. They function as the primary back-up for the Supervisor. Since Leads have a high contact with operators, it is expected that they are role models of the companies' core values - specifically teamwork, integrity, and innovation. The Lead is responsible for assisting in the driving of all department operations in a manner that meets company standards for safety, quality, delivery, and productivity. ShiftSecond Shift: 2:00pm - 10:30pm, Monday - Friday, or as job responsibilities require Pay$25.39 - $27.93/hr + $1.50 Shift Premium FunctionsEnsure that all safety regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices are being followed Provide support and direction to operators to ensure that processes are operating at target safety, quality, and performance targets Provide support and direction to operators to ensure paperwork and all related processes are completed accurately and in a timely manner Participate in Continuous Improvement activities, helping to drive problem solving Troubleshoot product and machine related issues Assist supervisor in developing and implementing departmental goals Assist supervisor in employee development activities Assist supervisor in prioritizing production Assist the supervisor in developing and implementing the required training for the operators to ensure all regulatory and quality standards are met Assist supervisor with the administration of progressive discipline Provide operator performance feedback to Supervisor to assist with performance evaluations Communicate with other departments and work with them to share good ideas as well as solve problems Role model teamwork between shifts and departments QualificationsEducationHigh school diploma or equivalent required Experience1+ years of experience in a leadership position preferred Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Experience in a food processing environment preferred Experience working with powders and high speed manufacturing equipment preferred Specialized Knowledge and SkillsKnowledge of basic mechanical aptitude Knowledge of basic math Ability to balance several tasks at once Skills in troubleshooting product/machine related issues Skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Necessary CompetenciesAdaptability/Flexibility Communication (verbal and written), with different levels of organization and personality types Problem solving through logical process involving others Leadership (developing people, taking accountability for others actions) Ability to get tasks done by leading others Ability to teach others new skills Safety focus for team Benefits PackageStandard Process is proud to be a top workplace.
