Loads and unloads product, completed the required paperwork and assists the Shift Supervisor/Process Supervisor in the safe operation of the system.\nResponsibilities\nResponsible for operation of the plant in the absence of the Shift Supervisor and/or Process Supervisor.\nUnder the direction of the Process Supervisor:\nPrepares dosimeters for work orders scheduled to be run.\nOperates and takes readings on the dosimeter reader.\nAssembles processed dosimeters with run data sheet, work orders and load/unload sheets.\nMaintains accurate downtime and system configuration log.\nRecords input, dosimeter and unload information in the computer.\nFamiliar with and able to perform emergency procedures required by license.\nReports system problems to the Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Technician.\nKnows how to replace designated mechanical components of the system and assists Maintenance as required.\nAssist with other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.\nSUPERVISION GIVEN: Oversees the work of others.\nQualifications\nHigh School Diploma or GED.\nThirty (30) days of experience working in a sterilization environment and meeting training requirements.\nMust be able to read, write and speak fluent English.\nMust be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.\nMust be willing to work established shifts.\nMust be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and perform repetitive bending and lifting motions over a period of time.\nMust have forklift driving experience.\nComputer skills desired.\nPay & Benefits\nPay rate: $22.50 per hour.\nSotera Health offers a competitive benefits package that includes:\nMedical, Rx, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life Insurance, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts\n401(k) program with Company match that immediately vests\nPaid holidays, vacation and sick time\nFree financial planning assistance\nPaid parental leave\nEducation assistance\nVoluntary benefits including Critical Illness, Accident, Hospital Indemnity and Pet Insurance\nEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)\nTraining Required\nMust complete all required training for an “Operator” outlined in the training manual.\n\nAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, or protected veteran status.
