If you're a creative innovator who embraces an environment where you can experiment, learn, and change banking for good, we'd love to hear from you.Role ExpectationsAs a Product Designer, you'll combine your craft expertise with an understanding of our customers and the business to co-create innovative solutions to complex problems.Here are some of the expected competencies for this role:Product Design Expertise: Leverage strong understanding of product design and skills across interaction, visual and service design to elevate the quality and maturity of the design practice at Capital One; in collaboration with cross-functional partners, use appropriate tools, platforms, frameworks and design systems and work with teams to create artifacts that may include journey maps, blueprints, high-fidelity designs and prototypesHuman-Centered: Use data, research insights and creative problem-solving to support customer-centered design decisions across projectsBusiness-Focused: Understand your product, processes and partner goals to recognize and bridge gaps between customer-centered solutions and business needsProblem-Solving: Work with your team and partners to gather feedback, understand the tech and data capabilities and emerging technologies in order to inform your work and navigate technical limitationsCollaboration: Build relationships with cross-functional partners and continuously identify opportunities to collaborate, incorporating diverse perspectives to elevate project work and build trustCommunication: Present work to diverse audiences using a human-centered approach, incorporating meaningful evidence and effectively articulating decisionsThe ideal candidate has a strong portfolio demonstrating their process, results, and impact.Basic QualificationsAt least 2 years of experience in a Product Design roleAt least 2 years of experience with design and prototyping tools such as FigmaPreferred QualificationsExperience working with an established design systemExperience collaborating with product, tech and business partnersExperience working in heavily regulated, data heavy problem spacesAt this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.McLean, VA: $111,200 - $126,900 for Sr. Associate, DesignNew York, NY: $121,300 - $138,400 for Sr. Associate, DesignRichmond, VA: $101,100 - $115,400 for Sr. Associate, DesignSan Francisco, CA: $121,300 - $138,400 for Sr. Associate, DesignCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
