This is an exempt position reporting to the manager of the applicable development group.\nResponsibilities & Duties:\nWrite well-engineered code, participate in code reviews, and perform unit & preliminary system testing.\nMaintain existing programs and work on special customer requests, understanding customer’s goals, strategies, and potential constraints.\nCreate and maintain program reference documentation and prepare testing instructions for Software Testers.\nDevelop code that is consistent with system standards, secure, easy to use, and well-integrated into the entire system.\nWork with software testers to ensure a quality product that is functional, flows logically, and has a user interface that is easy to use and understand.\nAct as a resource assisting to resolve escalated customer issues and training other personnel.\nAssist with the successful execution of the annual users group conference. Will attend/participate and may present and/or assist with development of presentations.\nMeet deadlines and complete scheduled work within budget and allotted time.\nThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.\nRequired skills & abilities:\nAll Computers Unlimited employees are expected to treat others with respect, maintain good relationships with employees and customers, and uphold high ethical standards of honesty, integrity, and reliability. Employees are expected to follow security and confidentiality standards.\nAnalyze, understand, and approach projects in a logical and systematic manner.\nHave a complete understanding of programming tools. Proficiency in programming will be tested as part of the application process.\nCommunicate effectively both in writing and verbally, be organized, and show attention to detail.\nWork independently and/or on a team, prioritize tasks, and handle competing deadlines.\nEducation & Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science or a related degree that includes programming languages or equivalent is required.\nPrevious experience in technical or business programming preferred.\nTravel/Working Conditions This job will be performed in our Billings, Montana office location. At the discretion of the manager, the duties may also be performed fully remote from within one of the states we operate, or hybrid. Remote individuals will be expected to travel to the office in Montana at least once per year.\nPay range and Benefits : The pay range for this position is $70,000 to $120,000 DOE. The position is eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k with company match, life insurance, PTO, and voluntary disability benefits.\nThis job description is intended to convey the general scope of the major duties and responsibilities for this position.
