Since our founding, we’ve constantly sought new ways to pursue greater economic justice: from providing fair and affordable loans to working with partners to demand that lawmakers change unjust policies.\nWe are seeking a An Application Developer II to join our team!\nWHAT You'll DO :\nUnder limited supervision, the Application Developer II will collaborate with appropriate team leaders and other end users to define, design, implement, and successful ly deliver high quality, custom applications to organizational teams, including a variety of assigned internal software systems.\nThe Application s Developer II is responsible for providing a high level of quality assurance, testing, project lifecycle and deployment management, and basic system and database administration .\n\nParticipate in and/or l ead the development, enhancement, and support of assigned in house software applications, data pipelines, and /or enhancements to existing third party applications systems including:\nManage project lifecycle, deployment, and release for product launches.\nDesign and implement applications for assigned business workflow s .\nA rchitect new and redesign /modernize existing applications.\nBuild and implement data pipelines and manage databases to support business application s.\nAssignments might include support for some of the more complex and/or challenging processes.\nWill provide mentoring for less experienced applications staff members as well as participate in staff member development.\nPerform other duties as may be deemed necessary.\n\nWHAT You’ll N EED :\nBachelor’s degree in computer - related field such as computer science or software engineering , or equivalent related experience.\nMinimum of 5 years of progressive experience in developing and maintaining production business application s.\nExperience with the following technologies:\n3-Tier application architecture and development\nETL process design and management\nRequired :\nC# and/or VB.NET\nT-SQL/MSSQL and/or MySQL\nGit\nDapper\nPreferred :\nWinForms\nPython\nBlazor web development framework\nCentOS\nGitLab DevOps CI/CD, deployments and shell scripting\nStrong commitment to our mission – creating economic opportunity for traditionally underserved communities.\nPreference for working in organizations that place priority on teamwork and collaboration .\nWillingness and ability to learn applicable business practices, processes, and working concepts.\nExcellent problem-solving skills including the ability to handle more complex project assignments independently and with minimal supervision.\nAbility to build and maintain productive relationships throughout the organization and to be viewed as credible business partner to assigned work teams.\nExposure to applicable financial/lending applications and/or software is preferred.\nAbility to demonstrate Self-Help's Core Values :\nMission Before Self\nService With Excellence\nEmbracing & Promoting Change\nResults Not Credit\nDiversity as a Strength\nFinancial Sustainability for Mission Impact\nIf you are interested in who we are and what we do; have a strong desire to work in an organization that places a high priority on teamwork and collaboration; and are interested in working to help create economic opportunity for all – THIS is the place for you!\n\nCompensation:\n\nCompetitive nonprofit compensation, based on experience, plus a generous benefits package.
