Provide support to the Project Engineer, Project Manager or Operations Director in project administration, quality, safety, invoicing/financial tracking, contract management and project data management. The Field Engineer/Coordinator is expected to use their experience and judgment to make decisions within their limits of authority and with direction from the Project Manager.\nThis is a project-based position that may require extensive travel.\nResponsibilities Quality assurance tracking, receiving and reporting.\nSafety support and planning work with Health and Safety Personnel.\nAssist Project Manager/Project Director in contract administration.\nAssist in plan & specification writing and interpretation.\nProject administration, data management and schedule updates.\nAssist in subcontractor management.\nSupport field surveying activities.\nMust have and maintain a valid driver’s license.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nQualifications Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with a wide variety of individuals in person, via telephone and in writing. Excellent customer relations skills.\nAbility to work independently and resolve practical problems, keeping all appropriate parties aware of issues or risks. Have a strong work ethic.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nMust have proficient computer skills including the use of the Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.\nBasic knowledge of AutoCAD preferred.\nSurveying experience preferred.\nUnderstand basic behavior-based safety programs and enforce company’s safety policies.\n40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training (provided if necessary).\nMust meet travel expectations.\nMust be able to perform shift work.\nMust meet medical requirements of the job site (Hazardous waste).\nEducation and Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related discipline required.\nPrefer one to three (1-3) years of heavy construction experience.
