The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of structural design principles, current codes and standards, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations. You will lead structural design efforts from conception through construction, providing technical expertise, project management, and quality oversight.Key Responsibilities•Lead and manage structural design for industrial, municipal, water/wastewater, site development, and architectural projects from conception through construction.•Perform structural analysis and design of steel, concrete, masonry, timber, and cold-formed steel structures, including foundations, framing systems, and equipment supports.•Prepare structural calculations, plans, details, and specifications in accordance with current codes (IBC, ACI 318, AISC, ASCE 7, etc.), including updated wind, seismic, and flood/resiliency provisi90,00125ons.•Design and oversee construction administration, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.•Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and environmental standards.•Prepare cost estimates, project schedules, and manage project budgets.•Administer contracts, oversee construction progress, review shop drawings and submittals, and manage resources efficiently.•Utilize structural analysis, BIM, and CAD software to develop designs and technical drawings, with an emphasis on model-based coordination.•Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.•Develop and maintain project documentation, including reports and submittals.•Manage and mentor junior engineers and support staff.•Handle conflict resolution, maintain strong stakeholder relationships, and uphold high standards of ethics and integrity.Qualifications•Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited university.•Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Louisiana, or licensed in another state with the ability to obtain Louisiana licensure within 6 months.•Minimum of 5 years of structural engineering experience.•Strong knowledge of current structural design codes and standards (IBC, ACI 318, AISC, ASCE 7, including wind, seismic, and flood-resiliency provisions).•Proficiency with structural analysis and design software (e.g., RISA, STAAD.
