Van Driver
Job Description: WellStone is seeking a motivated, responsible individual to fill the role of Van Driver and safely transport clients to and from their scheduled appointments. The selected candidate will adhere and comply with all traffic regulations, ensure the safety of clients during transport, maintain cleanliness of vehicle, and report any issues to the Facilities Manager. Providing great customer service is a must in this role.
What you'll be doing:
Safely operate a 14-passenger van to transport clients to and from their residence and WellStone for their scheduled appointments.
Maintain cleanliness of van on a daily basis.
Perform preventative maintenance checks on van daily; keep track of maintenance schedule and report any issues to the Facilities Manager immediately.
Adhere to the Department of Transportation rules and regulations regarding driving a vehicle and transporting passengers.
Attend required training and safety courses in relation to duties.
Maintain appropriate interpersonal boundaries to include adherence to Center rules and policies on client/staff boundaries.
Observe clients and report any information as required to the Group Coordinator, Therapist and/or Program Director.
Ensure that clients obey traffic laws by buckling and appropriately wearing seat belts, no littering, etc.
Complete other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Valid driver’s license and good 5-year driving record
Previous experience driving groups preferred
Ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff
Willingness to work with a team with the clients' safety and needs as top priority
Knowledge of roadway signs, signals, and proper traffic procedures
Knowledge of local community, i.e. streets/routes, etc.
