Job Description Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter Foreman to oversee and coordinate carpentry work on construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, leadership experience, and the ability to manage a team effectively. The Carpenter Foreman will ensure that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications. Measure, cut, and assemble wood and other materials for framing, formwork, cabinetry, and other carpentry tasks. Install doors, windows, drywall, flooring, and other structural components. Operate power tools and machinery safely and efficiently. Ensure all carpentry work meets building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards. Project & Site Management: Plan and schedule carpentry tasks, ensuring timely completion of work. Inspect materials and tools to ensure they are in good condition and available as needed. Identify and resolve construction issues, reporting major problems to the project manager. Maintain accurate records of labor hours, material usage, and project progress. Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure team members follow OSHA and company safety standards. Conduct safety meetings and site inspections to mitigate hazards. Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to job site regulations. Qualifications & Skills: Proven experience as a Carpenter Foreman or Lead Carpenter. Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices. Effective communication and organizational skills. Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions. Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent (Required). Completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training in carpentry (Preferred). Minimum 5+ years of experience in carpentry, with 2+ years in a supervisory role. OSHA certification is a plus. Work Conditions Work performed on construction sites in varying weather conditions. Requires physical labor, including standing, bending, lifting, and working at heights. May require overtime, weekends, and travel depending on project needs.
