Receiving PO’s in a timely manner and accurately putting product in the correct bin location ensures patient safety, inventory accuracy and exceptional customer service. The Pharmacy Assistant is responsible for unloading and break down of pallets, pre-sortation of totes and verifying all NDC’s against PO’s while meeting production standards. Reconciliation of overages/shortages and proper reporting is a daily task. Under the general supervision of the Inventory Supervisor, the Inventory Clerk maintains detailed records of received product.Key Responsibilities/Essential FunctionsVerifies paperwork with total # of totes from DCUnloads product from truckSeparates product by lot numbers and expiration datesVerification of NDC and Qty of each item and reconciles against POResearches discrepancies and initiates proper resolutionProper filing and maintenance of all DC receipts and Purchase Order paperworkUse of handheld scanner application to scan, receive and reconcile incoming product, keying in quantitiesAssists with annual physical inventoryGood mathematical reasoning: count, calculate pack sizeLog and report total put away lines per hour, total items receivedPerforms monthly date check sweeps for short dated and expired productComplies with all appropriate policies including DSCSARotation of product, attention to detail reporting damaged productMaintain a safe and efficient workspace and proper protocols for maintaining a safe working area.Additional ResponsibilitiesSystematic setup and bin location assignment of new productHelp Finance research and rectify out of sync variances as it relates to PO’s adjustmentsAssistance with product recalls and quarantinesPack, sort and ship prescriptions when production needs demandAdheres to and promotes the Company’s Shared ICARE principlesFollows federal and state laws regarding HIPAA and PHI.Qualifications For The PositionEducation/TrainingHigh School Diploma or GED preferredPharmacy Assistant License requiredBusiness ExperienceWarehouse experience a plusBasic computer skillsRF Scanner experience preferredSpecialized Knowledge/SkillsAble to read computer generated screensGood communication skillsGood mathematical skillsStrong organizational skills; keen attention to detailAbility to work independently with little or no supervisionExcellent customer service skills demonstrated to internal team membersPerform continuous and repetitive workWorking ConditionsEnvironment (e.g., office, manufacturing, warehouse)General office and warehouse environmentPhysical Requirements (e.g., lifting, standing for extended periods, climbing)Able to select, lift and carry objects ( up to 20 – 25 lbs)Operate pallet jack, hand truck or dollyBox cutter cut cases of productExtensive walking and standing (8+ hours/day)Requires bending, twisting, reaching and graspingUse of step ladder to reach product.We are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards.
