You will work as part of the engineering team to develop the Tailscale product, contributing to client code and backend services. The client code is a mix of modern Swift, Kotlin, and Go. Prior Go expertise is not a requirement.\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\nDevelop the Tailscale product, contributing to client code and backend services.\r\nBring a special focus on our mobile platforms, iOS and Android, while contributing to common code that supports macOS, Windows and other core client platforms.\r\niOS and Android development expertise\r\nProficiency in Swift, SwiftUI, and/or Kotlin.\r\nUnit and integration test development and maintenance.\r\nCross-target code sharing.\r\nFamiliarity with mobile VPN infrastructure.\r\nProviding support for the latest Apple and Android platform features while maintaining compatibility with a reasonable subset of older systems.\r\nWhat We Are Looking For\r\n5+ years of experience in software development.\r\nStrong understanding of software development principles, capabilities, and limitations of mobile platforms.\r\nProficiency in Go is desirable.\r\nExperience with general networking concepts – DNS, VPNs, IP networking, routing, etc.\r\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\r\nAbility to give and process constructive feedback, as well as work independently.\r\nFlexibility to adjust to the dynamic nature of a startup.\r\nWhat We Offer\r\nInclusive, flexible environment where you can be your authentic self.
