Shipping, Receiving, Inventory Control Clerk

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?This position is responsible for receiving, storage, packing, and shipment of raw materials and finished goods, as well as maintaining accurate inventory control records.The following duties will be performed by the successful candidate:Receive finished products from the Value Streams and review instructions and customer specifications for packing and shippingPack orders following appropriate procedures; weigh shipments, address containers, and load items onto skidsCreate shipment documents such as bills of lading and export documentation; coordinate shipments with freight carriers as neededOperate online shipping systems, computers, calculators, forklifts, pallet jacks, dock levelers, and hand toolsReceive raw materials and equipment required for production and tools scheduled for rework via mail, express carriers (UPS, Federal Express, etc.), and trucking carriers; ensure carriers follow Company safety standards for warehousing and loading/unloadingIdentify contents of incoming shipments by counting, checking for damage, entering data into the ERP system or log journals, and notifying Purchasing and other appropriate individualsUncrate, organize, sort, and prepare goods for storage or distribution to designated departmentsPerform material distribution activities to deliver materials to work areasConduct ERP system (SAP) transactions to accurately reflect inventory changesMaintain accurate records and logsMaintain a clean and orderly work area by actively participating in the 5S programFollow all safety procedures, including wearing required personal protective equipment and adhering to Company Safety StandardsPerform other duties and cross‑training assignments as directed by the Department SupervisorActively participate in the WCM (World Class Manufacturing) programEnvironment And Physical RequirementsThe job requires:Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 30 lbs. consistently, 40 lbs. frequently, and 50 lbs. occasionallyAbility to maintain a high level of frequency and intensity in physical activities, including pulling, pushing, carrying, standing, bending, reaching, walking, stooping, kneeling, and crouchingGood eye and hand coordinationUse of personal protective equipment and ability to tolerate exposure to modest amounts of heat, cold, dust, and noiseIS THIS JOB FOR YOU?The Successful Candidate Should Possess The Following SkillsA high school diploma or its equivalency.Minimum one year experience in a warehouse environment.Must have experience using email, internet, web-based computer applications and ERP system. (Outlook, Word, Excel, SAP)Experience using FedEx and UPS online shipping systems strongly preferred.Must be a certified forklift driver or have the ability to become certified. In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for periodic bonus payments. The targeted bonus amount can be up to $3,200 per year based on company and individual performance measures.
