Our client, a leader in medical device technology, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Sr. Systems Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Sr. Systems Engineer, you will be an integral part of the engineering department supporting innovative medical solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative spirit, which will align successfully within the organization.Job Title: Sr. Systems EngineerLocation: Pleasanton, CAWhat's the Job?Serve as a Software Systems Engineer individual contributor and team lead to deliver requirements elicitation, decomposition, and traceability. Develop and manage system architectures, including creating development plans and conducting trade-off studies. Lead technical software design reviews and own internal design documentation with high standards of clarity and polish. Validate design patterns and documentation, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with project goals. Coordinate implementation projects, device documentation, and cross-train team members in a fast-paced, evolving environment. What's Needed?Minimum of 5+ years of systems engineering experience, particularly within a medical device company. Significant experience in software requirements development and requirements management tools. Proficiency working within an Agile lifecycle methodology and understanding of FDA 21 CFR 820, EU MDR, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 62304 standards. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate across multiple organizational levels. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
