Citizens is a cloud-first organization adopting automation in our tech stack. As a part of our Network Engineer Rotation, you will have three different rotations where you will contribute valuable insight and engineering expertise while working on a wide range of projects. As a member of the cloud network engineering team, you will be given the autonomy to exercise independent thought in a collaborative environment.\n\nThrough hands-on experience in this role, you will:\n\nBuild experience in maintaining and supporting widely available, secure connectivity solutions across the enterprise.\n\nDevelop expertise in identifying and documenting network performance trends and patterns while monitoring network diagnostics and health.\n\nStrengthen collaboration and technical delivery skills through partnering with network engineers, architects, cybersecurity partners, cloud teams, infrastructure teams, application teams, vendors, and operations teams to plan and execute work.\n\nAdvance your knowledge of network security technologies through the review and optimization of firewalls, proxy gateways, and other network security components.\n\nDevelop troubleshooting capabilities by investigating and resolving network availability and accessibility issues.\n\nGain hands-on experience with automation, orchestration, infrastructure-as-code, service catalog, and network observability initiatives that reduce manual effort and improve governance.\n\nAll ETSDP colleagues will spend their first 5 weeks together for onboarding, orientation, and our in-house Tech Made Ready Academy.\n\nEarly Career Development Program (ECDP)\n\nAll ETSDP colleagues will participate in the Early Career Development Program (ECDP) this robust program is designed to give our new colleagues a solid foundation to Citizens. Through the ECDP, you’ll experience:\n\n4-day in-person event with bank-wide early career development program colleagues\nProfessional development workshops (including Presence & Presentation)\nNetworking opportunities with senior leadership across all areas of Citizens\nDedicated community service activities to include direct service or skills-based volunteering to local organizations across our footprint.\n\nLife after the program\nUpon successful completion of the ETS Development Program, colleagues will be placed on a team where you will continue to develop your Network Engineering career.\n\nQualifications\n\nBasic qualifications:\n\nSuccessfully complete a video interview assessment within 4 days of receiving the link. If not completed within the timeframe, your application will be automatically withdrawn from consideration.\n\nCurrently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Information Technology or other technology-related degree.\nExpected graduation date of May 2027\nMinimum GPA 3.0.\n\nDemonstrated ability to operate in a team environment, strong interpersonal and communication skills.\n\nPreferred qualifications:\n\nProfessional or academic exposure to enterprise networking, cloud networking, cybersecurity, infrastructure engineering, or related technology disciplines.\n\nExperience and/or demonstrated interest in automation, scripting, APIs, infrastructure as code, data analysis, observability, service catalog workflows, or AI-enabled operations\n\nDemonstrated curiosity, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with a desire to learn new technologies and develop expertise across multiple networking, infrastructure, and security domains.\n\nThe position offers $80,000 per year as a starting rate.\n\nWe offer competitive pay, comprehensive medical, dental and vision coverage, retirement benefits, maternity/paternity leave, flexible work arrangements, education reimbursement, wellness programs and more.
