Benefits:Paid time offTraining & developmentOpportunity for advancementJob Overview Sylvan provides a wide range of customized tutoring services designed to improve academic growth for K-12 students and we are looking for an Assistant Director to help manage the day-to-day operations of our Glenview, Skokie, and Oak Lawn locations. The Assistant Center Director will support the center director for each location with all customer facing and office management responsibilities including sales of Sylvan products and services, management of student schedules and education plans, reporting and communicating with parents, and other center operations activities.Job Responsibilities:Support the day to day operations of Sylvan centers to ensure student success and customer satisfaction.Work across all 3 centers to support operations as needed.Support the Sylvan sales process through active management of inquiry calls across multiple centers, proctoring initial student assessments, and leading Sylvan enrollment conferences.Monitor the integrity of student educational plans and share regular progress reports with parents.Demonstrating and upholding a high level of staff morale and professionalism as well as ensuring the professional appearance of center.Support the Center Director in oversight and management of center teaching and clerical staff.Job Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree - Education or related field preferredTeaching Certification preferredMinimum 3 years of related experience in the Education fieldExperience in sales, customer service, office management preferredExcellent communication, organization, and time management skillsEntrepreneurial spirit and accountability with strong follow-up and attention to detailAbility to work 20-25 hrs per weekAbility to work afternoon/evenings Mon - Thurs from 3:00-7:30pm and Saturdays 9:00-2:00pmAuthorized to work in the US and pass a criminal background check.Join us in making a difference in the lives of our students and apply today!
