Maintaining machines and equipment to ensure correct volumes and quality of raw material.\r\nMain Responsibilities:\r\nEnsures material availability and accurate inventory\r\nEnsures delivered materials are stored in the correct location, including labels\r\nEnsures silo's capacities are checked at shift start and finish to guarantee machines do not run out of material\r\nChecks with Supervisor at the beginning of shift for any pending color changes\r\nEnsures a correct and accurate inventory is taken, as requested\r\nReports to Production Manager any anticipated shortages of colorants\r\nEnsures efficient material usage\r\nEnsures regrind waste is kept to a minimum and that any waste is recorded\r\nEnsures any regrind that can be returned to the machines is returned as soon as possible\r\nColor Changes\r\nEnsures all correct procedures are followed during a color change\r\nEnsures materials no longer being used are returned to the correct area\r\nEnsures material hoses are hooked up correctly\r\nEnsures cleanliness of regrind room, label room and mezzanine\r\nAssists Maintenance and Mold Change Team\r\nWhat Makes You Great\r\nPerformance Measurements:\r\nColor change done in a timely fashion\r\nMachines are not down for lack of material\r\nRegrind waste at a minimum\r\nAccurate inventory\r\nEducation/Experience:\r\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\r\nExperience in manufacturing environment\r\nExperience as Material Handler preferred\r\nQualifications/Skills:\r\nAble to lift up to 50 pounds\r\nAble to operate Forklifts\r\nPhysical Demands:\r\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
