Assembler

Kamatics is seeking a Summer Seasonal Assembler who will work within our production team, offering hands-on experience in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Assemblers will be placed in one of several Karon support areas based on business needs and will be expected to work independently while demonstrating strong attention to detail and technical aptitude.Candidates must be currently enrolled in a degree program.Schedule:Day shift: 6:00 AM - 3:30 PMMay support different departments or roles as needed based on business needsResponsibilities:All Assemblers: Follow work instructions and maintain quality standardsSupport various departments as neededWork in a fast-paced production environmentGrit Assembler: Prepare parts for finishing processes, including taping and tumblingLoad parts into fixtures and perform grit blastingMask and/or remove tape using razors or X-Acto bladesPerform light machining and finishing tasks such as polishing, cleaning, and deburring metallic partsLift and move trays of parts as neededKaron Applicator: Perform light machining and finishing tasks such as polishing, cleaning, and deburring metallic partsTape and paint parts using various masking techniquesMask and/or remove tape using razors or X-Acto bladesSpray parts using equipment similar to automotive spray guns (respirator may be required)Assemble components as neededPack Assembler: Package parts into bags, boxes, and shipping containersCreate and apply labels using computer softwareSet up and operate packaging, laser marking, and assembly press equipmentPerform light finishing work such as polishing, cleaning, and deburring partsAssemble components as neededLift materials up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environmentQualifications:Education : High school diploma or equivalentCurrently enrolled in a higher education programRequired Skills: Strong attention to detail and willingness to learnDependable, flexible, and team-orientedAbility to follow instructions and maintain quality standardsComfortable working with chemicals; PPE (including respirators, where required) will be providedAbility to work in a noisy environment with required hearing protectionAbility to lift up to 50 lbs in certain areasEmployee referrals are preferredPreferred Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft OfficeCAD experience is a plusPhysical Requirements: Frequent standing and walkingOccasional sittingLifting up to 40-50 lbs depending on roleBenefits:Kamatics is an Equal Opportunity Employer Veterans/Disabled - Affirmative Action Employer.This position requires the use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
