A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides direct behavioral therapy services to individuals with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities. You'll work under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement behavior intervention plans using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques.ResponsibilitiesProvide one-on-one ABA therapy to clients in homes, schools, or community settingsImplement behavior intervention plans developed by a BCBA and follow treatment protocols with fidelityCollect detailed data on client behavior and skill acquisition during sessionsMaintain clear, accurate documentation of sessions, progress, and behavior recordsCollaborate with BCBAs, supervisors, families, and other staff to support client goals and treatment consistencyAttend team meetings and supervision sessions with BCBAs as requiredQualificationsRBT Certification: Must hold and maintain current RBT credentials through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.Education: High school diploma or GED required; some employers prefer coursework or a degree in psychology, education, or related fields.Experience: Prior experience with individuals with autism or in ABA therapy is often preferred, but training may be provided.Skills:Strong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to follow detailed plans and data-collection protocolsComfortable working collaboratively within a care teamReliable transportation to travel to client homes or community settings is required
