Environmental Maintenance Manager
Job Overview
Establish and implement a managerial position to ensure compliance with all facility permits and reporting requirements. Monitor and maintain equipment, including both the DCS system and emissions monitoring and treatment systems, to ensure plant reliability and compliance with all permit testing, and reporting requirements. Conduct analysis and develop recommendations to maintain and improve reliability, safety, environmental compliance and cost performance as corrective action is needed.
Duties
§ Manage operation and maintenance of facility environmental compliance equipment and provide recommendations for equipment selection and/or replacement. Retrieve/maintain environmental emissions data and compile data for emissions compliance reports, and assist in ensuring that reports are filed in a timely manner.
§ Responsible for accuracy of raw data gathered for emissions reporting (SO2, CO, NOX, HG) and facility permit compliance.
§ Train facility staff to operate and maintain continuous emissions monitoring system (CEMS), mercury sorbent trap monitoring/control system (CMM) and emissions data acquisition system (DAS).
§ Manage and maintain recommended spare parts inventory for mercury sorbent trap monitoring/control system (CMM) and plant continuous emissions monitoring/control system (CEMS), and DCS system interface with emissions control.
§ Monitor and perform maintenance activities for plant DCS system. Review and recommend upgrades to software and hardware applications required for reliable and accurate DCS performance.
§ Conduct surveys to gather field data for engineering staff. Manage document control.
§ Prepare and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, layouts, and other visual aids
§ Assist and train plant staff with maintenance, installation and calibration of electrical devices, controllers, electrical components, electric motors, environmental control, materials handling, machine tools, steam turbine auxiliary components, generators, boiler auxiliaries and instrumentation, heat transfer, energy conversion, and low, medium and high voltage switchgear.
§ Assist plant staff with documentation control and data management for NERC compliance.
§ Support and maintain professional relationships with plant vendors and contractors.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
-§ Must possess a high degree of electrical, mechanical, and process aptitude and ability to use algebra, geometry or shop math.
§ Ability to interpret instruction and use logic to solve concrete problems, write reports with proper grammar, and communicate in English with co-workers and the public.
§ Working knowledge of budgets and financial statements.
§ Associate’s degree in Instrumentation and Control Technology or equivalent.
§ Prefer 8-10 years power plant experience.
§ Must obtain a valid driver’s license.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
